We all know that life is precious and can take a tragic turn in a day or just a few hours. Last night Northwest Florida Quarterhorse Association hosted our annual Awards Banquet. We visited with each other and I proudly called our exhibitors up to receive their awards. The mood was jovial ~ we caught up on recent happenings & discussed plans for this show season. Angie Proctor- Reichert shared stories about her new baby from Rizzio (Tracey Fowler Schraeder mare)pictured below and how spoiled he was. We said goodnight & went our separate ways. I awoke during the night to thunder & lightning when the bad storm came through. I had barely gotten to work this morning before I got a phone call telling me that a lightning strike caught Angie Proctor-Reichert barn on fire and that all nine horses had perished. I cannot imagine what Angie , Sue Sherlock, Tracey Fowler Schrader, Eden Owen & Nicole Smith are feeling right now. But I know that I am very sad & heart broken for each & every one of them. I wish that I could bear their pain for them. I pray that God will touch each of you & help you heal in the days ahead. NWFQHA is your family and feels your pain and will help in any way that we can.
