We are going to start doing a mare spotlight for our mares who have made this program what it is, the countless hours of searching for the perfect mare, the research, the conversations with the most knowledgeable people you can find, the work that goes into getting them home, loving them, giving them the best care imaginable, yet still allowing them to be horses, learn how to navigate rough terrain, cross water, be mothers, forage for good food, and still come to be loved on when they can always choose to run away. These mares mean the world to not only me, but the sucess of this program. This is my way to say thanks to these girls for being a part of my life. My fiance, and his parents, have been so supportive of me and building this program, I would not be where I am today without their love and support. First mare we are going to spotlight: LOTTA LIGHTNING BAR AQHA SIRE: Wins Remedy DAM: Palleos Miracle This mare is broke, but never shown, kind, a wonderful mother, and one heck of a producer. She is owned by Halo Hues Ranch in Standish CA, and leased by us until fall of 2015. She has produced 2 foals by Smart Pyro and both have been exceptional, and better every time. Her 2009 gelding by Smart Pyro had a rough start, and I broke him when I purchased him as a 4 year old. What a wonderful horse he turned out to be. Her 2014 filly has been the apple of my eye since the day she was born on this place. She will forever hold a very special place in my heart, and I plan on showing her extensively, and later adding her to the broodmare band.
