Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer SGM, Western Colorado’s leading water and wastewater engineering firm, is currently seeking a senior water/wastewater engineer to: - Forward SGM’s mission to make its clients successful by developing and delivering practical, innovative solutions - Lead water/wastewater planning and design projects - Adeptly manage projects - Build and maintain long-term client relationships - Manage and mentor entry-level engineers Minimum qualifications for the successful candidate are: - 10 – 15 years of consulting engineering experience - Extensive water/wastewater facilities design experience - Current Colorado PE license in civil engineering or related field - Strong written and oral communication skills - 5+ years of project management experience with strong performance record - Excellent client service skills Additional preferred qualifications: - Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field - 3+ years of experience as a lead client service/relationship manager, esp. with municipal/special district clients - 2+ years of direct staff supervision experience - Track record of successfully developing new business - Municipal engineering experience - Experience authoring technical articles and delivering conference presentations - Active member of relevant professional organizations - Software experience/proficiency o AutoCAD, esp.
