See below for a detailed description of each position. Our Glenwood Springs, Colorado office is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Designer. This position will support the growing MEP Team. The candidate will need to provide mechanical design, construction document generation and overall mechanical systems design support for a variety of projects. These projects will have an interesting and diverse mix of commercial, industrial, and municipal projects such as healthcare, federal, schools, water and wastewater treatment, and transportation facilities. A self-motivating, focused personality is a requirement for the position. Basic Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical design of building HVAC and plumbing systems. Experience in preparing construction documents for HVAC and plumbing systems, along with a general understanding of building codes and construction issues is required. All projects involve a commitment to high performance systems and therefore experience in efficiency, commissioning, renewable energy and other high performance strategies is highly valued. Required Skills Required Experience: Candidate must show proficiency with AutoCAD along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and the ability to learn and use new software. Proficient in completing building load analyses and energy software, HVAC system selections and design, duct/piping design calculations and layout, plumbing design calculations and layout and the development of construction documents for these systems. Preferred Qualifications: Revit MEP, LEED and energy modeling experience. Optional Qualifications: Design experience of electrical systems is applicable. General Civil Engineer with Land Development Emphasis SGM is currently seeking a Civil Engineer with land development emphasis in our Glenwood Springs office. This position requires a BS in Civil Engineering or related field with EIT registration. A minimum of one to two years of experience with roadways, site design, plan preparation and permitting is preferred. Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
