She suffered a health setback her junior year of softball where she had to miss the season and recover from a heart condition. She had to miss her final season as a field hockey player and resumed training for softball when in her senior year, she was recognized as The Salem State University Student Athlete of the year in 2014 as well as Comeback Player of the Year. Lauren graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Masters in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Denver.
