We are looking for a Software Developer – Cloud, NoSQL Qualifications • Minimum of 3 years industry experience as a software developer. • Mastery of enterprise architecture and one enterprise language (Java, Python, Ruby) • Practical Experience with NoSQL database systems (Cassandra, MongoDB) • Experience with Scalable and high availability software architectures • Ability to write efficient, elegant and maintainable code and interfaces. • Self-starter, able to tackle projects from start to finish without a lot of hand-holding Advantage • BS in Computer Science or related technical field (MS a plus) • Experience with Cloud Computing such as EC2/AWS • Experience in the Hadoop/ Hive/ Hue Ecosystem or similar. • A background in one or more areas of data understanding, such as information retrieval, machine learning, data mining (mahout), NLP, recommender systems or artificial intelligence in a commercial setting. • Knowledge of agile development processes that include automated testing, continuous integration, and short, rapid deployments. • Having experience with few of the above: SOA / EDA, workflow, rules engines, complex event processing, messaging (remoting), geospatial, unit testing and mocking frameworks, distributed databases, distributed processing, design patterns, concurrency (actors, message passing), analytic disciplines. • Being an active open source framework contributor.
