We are still actively working with both Trooper and Oliver to keep them sound and enjoying life as long as possible. Both are tall, black geldings with very different past lives. Oliver is a senior, a former show horse, who is well loved and very happy, but with hoof issues from previous founders. We got Oliver through several dental infections and his weight is terrific, but now his hoof issues are flaring up again.....Trooper as many know, arrived just a few months ago with a deformed leg. He is young, only 4, and has a powerful presence and deep love of life. That leg, tho, is fragile, and balancing an inevitable break with time being a horse is delicate and needs to remain a decision with those of us immediately here, sharing his life.....Both are getting special attention here. This is what it means to be a sanctuary.
