We are working full steam this weekend with a goal to have all the lights and all the petals turned on Sunday night. Come by if you can! 835 Carleton St, Berkeley. Last Sunday, Lisa, Bobby, Matt M., Matt K., Phil, Anja ,Gaetan, Jeff, Frank, Paul, Shean, Jenn, Zach, Josh and Kevin built the frames for the last row of petals and finished completely one petal and mounted to the truck. These are the largest and most challenging petals at 15ft on each side. Thursday was the first time we worked on the flower at night. There were no lights in the building, until Asheem hooked up some powerful tube lights. This enabled Rahim, Phil, Josh, Jenn, Zach, Lisa, Bobby, and Matt M. to finished the fabric on the last row of petals and add LED lighting. We also powered on the first LED spotlight, and its bright as hell! On Friday, Josh, Jet, Nick, and Norma started building the leaves and we installed a new mount for the speakers. Today, Jason is coming to weld the brackets for the leaves to the truck. Ill arrive a bit early to meet Jason at 10a. He will also weld a mount for our new step, that replaces the rope swing we had last year to enter the truck. Well mount the last petals, build the leaves, install the LED strips and spots, wire up the lights, mount the speakers and genny... and were done! Relax, breath.... Next weekend, Saturday August 9 from 2p to 7p, we invite you all to come see the flower. Were having a bbq and a chance to enjoy.
