We as parents aren"t here to be close friends with our kids as we are way beyond that. I"m seeing so many parents that don"t want to upset their kids by teaching them right from wrong because they are afraid they will lose them. The parents want to be modern...they want to be hip....they want them to know they accept their actions...case in point...a teen-ager wants to go to a rave party and the father sayes no unless there is a parent there....the mother agrees to go along but rolls him a joint know ing that the father is anti-drug. the father finds out after they are divorced and everything he has tried to teach his kid over the years Be a parent...not a fried...give your kids someone to look up to...give your kids someone who they can respect even if they don"t agree with your old world thinking...quit trying to be there friend.....teach them right from wrong even if its not popular with them...watch them..watch who they are with...damn it people be a parent!!!!!!!
