We didn’t time our submission with GPI’s tsunami (impressive!), but our new paper is nevertheless very timely. Punch line is, don’t trust any contrast curve or SNR without considering: 1- the nature of the underlying noise (that one is not new, many colleagues have worked on this), 2- the number of samples used to estimate noise (the new part, particularly relevant at small angles, but still significant at larger ones).
