We experienced this in the main HH group and I had a first-hand experience with it today... how do you respond to MBAs and the like who approach coders with the next big thing. It makes me kind of frustrated because the value is in the execution, not so much the idea. I dont want to sound like a jerk, but they think their business plan is everything and the last piece of their grand puzzle is the coder. Someone today told me theyve been outsourcing development to Ukraine. IMO this is a poor approach for startups b/c I think you have to be invested in your product when youre building it. Thoughts?
