We got some encouraging news yesterday regarding Russ cancer treatment plan. UK has a Carcinoid and Neuroendocrine Tumor Program and they use a multidisciplinary approach to treating these cancers. Our wonderful Doctors at the VA have set up appointments for Russ on January 6 to be seen for consultations at this Multidisciplinary clinic. This news has given him a little pep. The problem he is having now is related to his heart and they are adding medicines to try and keep him from building up fluid and get his energy back. He is supposed to be released today. I came home yesterday and did some laundry and cooking. When he gets home we should be able to sit back and enjoy a fire and lighted tree. I know this is a long post but lots of family and friends have been asking for news. Thanks everyone.
