We had a very successful day scaring away hunger in our community on Friday, Oct. 31st. Jen Seed organized the day and all of our Grade 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 students participated. We walked in groups around the village and collected donations to the food bank. Many residents provided us with food items when we knocked on their door and asked them if they’d like to help us ‘scare hunger away’. This was part of a program developed by the organization called Free the Children. They put on ‘We Day’ (last year at ScotiaBank Place) and the program is called ‘We Scare Hunger’.
