We had some ATV riders here from Kentucky and we arranged to have a local guide take them out on the trail. They have ridden all over the USA, including Moab, UT, and the Hatfield & McCoy trail system, but they agreed that the Black Hills have some of the best trails they have ever ridden. ATV trails are not widely promoted in the Black Hills because neither the State Tourism Department, or the Badlands and Lakes Association seems to care to do much. The USFS seems to be pretty much against anybody using their forest for anything other than day hiking.
