We have a date. Donnie will have his surgery this Thursday at Vanderbilt. The change from St Thomas is because of the valve size situation, no other reason. We have been well pleased with the way we have been treated at both hospitals. They all were very personable and ready to ease our minds by answering all our questions and assuring us that they take each patients needs into consideration. They have treated us with respect and explained the surgery in detail, along with recovery expectation and risks. His surgeon will be the same one that did his bypass surgery in 2000, Dr Ball. I have faith that Gods hand has been and is in all the changes. Donnie will be the second surgery of the day, whatever that means. We will check in before 9:30 AM. Thank you for all your prayers and concern. Again I am posting a link similar to what will be done.
