SeaArk Boats is a family business owned by the McClendon family who has a long and varied history in aluminum boat building. Zach McClendon, Jr. along with his father, Zach McClendon Sr. and Norris Judkins started MonArk Boat Company in 1958. MonArk Boat Company started building small jon boats and grew to eventually create two divisions: The pleasure boat division and the workboat division. The Workboat division eventually built commercial, work, and patrol craft for the United States military, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Oil industry, as well as Fire boats, Excursion boats, and Harbor Security craft for many different branches of the government and commercial companies. The pleasure boat division also grew and built a variety of products in both all-welded and riveted aluminum. By the mid 1980’s MonArk had over 200 dealers across the United States. In 1988, MonArk Boat Company sold the pleasure boat division to Brunswick Corporation and with it the MonArk Name. The McClendon family retained the workboat division and renamed it SeaArk Marine. Four years after a non-compete agreement expired with Brunswick, the family once again entered into the recreational pleasure boat market and started SeaArk Boats in 1992. The company’s focus was on all-welded, heavy duty aluminum jon boats and in 1994 announced the introduction of the “World’s largest Jon boat” at 24 feet long with a 72-inch bottom. SeaArk Boats is now under the leadership of Robin McClendon (Zach Jr.’s daughter) and builds all-welded aluminum fishing boats 14-24 feet long. SeaArk continues to focus on the “over-built” style of aluminum boats incorporating extruded keels and caprails and using heavy-duty ribs in their construction. The company currently builds bass, crappie, and Cat fishing boats, mud boats, bay boats, and duck boats as well as basic jons, tunnel hulls and sport jet models. The company has a network of dealerships across the country including Alaska. SeaArk Boats focuses on quality workmanship and continually works to provide customers with models which they can customize with a long list of options and accessories to fit their needs. SeaArk also features an excellent warranty, one of the best offered among aluminum boat companies. With over 52 years of experience in boat building, SeaArk Boats can offer their customer a quality product built with a family’s promise to stand behind it. - Sea Ark
