We have been requested to provide news regarding one city in particular, Marsh. This account of a city meeting was written by Hunter Moen, BSN reporter. City Meeting-Marsh On Sunday night, the city of Marsh established their government. They chose to take the direction of Direct Democracy. The citizens of Marsh all have a vote and say of what happens and what is presented for laws. The city sought fit that theyd have two clerks. Two members of the Duck party, Andrew Kirkpatrick and Kevin Nguy, rose up to the occasion and were elected into these positions by the citizens of Marsh. If the minority group of Marsh, the Beavers, are in any way unsatisfied with the doings of the clerks, a unanimous vote by the Beaver party members will change the clerk system. One Duck clerk of less desire will be replaced by a member of the minorities. After the handling of the clerk situation, the city held an election for a type of leader, which they called their Chairman. The Chairman only serves as the representative for Marsh. Though the Chairman may provide input on issues for the city in city meetings, he is not allowed to vote on any of the issues presented. He is the head speaker of the city meetings; the one who organizes the functions, or agenda, to talk about in order to have a proper function, peaceful order, and debates. Elections were held, and the man elected into the Chairman position to represent the city of Marsh was Max Meade. After election, it was decided by verbal agreement that a simple majority vote, more than 50%, would decide on laws and what is to be voted on. Then, a chant was created and flag ideas were brainstormed over with much contemplation. The city meeting Marshed right along.
