We have devastating news to share with all of you in the aftermath of the storms in Mississippi. Terri Tucker, a fellow animal advocate and friend of SPR rescuers, Jeanette Unruh and Alice Gill, was killed, along with her husband, her son, and their dog when a tornado hit and leveled their home in Louisville, Mississippi. Terri was the heart of the Louisville Animal Shelter. She worked relentlessly behind the scenes posting adoptable dogs and asking for help to decrease the number of animals euthanized in her area. Recently, Terri reached out to our SPR ladies requesting help. Without Terri, Sochi and her pups, Jackie O and her pups, Louie and countless others would never have had a chance. Terris sweet, humble, generous spirit moved and inspired us, as did her love for and commitment to animals. This is devastating news to the rescue world. Please remember her and her loved ones and help us honor Terri.
