We have got to be aware of what these folks face every. About a year ago an arrest was attempted at the door of Walmart as Debbie and I were leaving. The next guy behind us was shoplifting and security and a police officer tried to arrest him. He was about 6 2 and dressed as a woman. As the officer called out to him, I saw the muscles on this clown ripple and I said to myself This isnt going to be good. I blocked the door as he tried to escape. I put my shoulder into him as this terrible fight swirled at me. Im too old and slow to take on a 20-something muscleman. The officer and the security guard took him down and the suspect wasnt stoppable. The officers gun came out as they struggled. The officer was losing the fight. He laid his gun against the crooks head. It finally took that to stop this wild melee. The bad guy was trying to wrest the officers gun away. I got between Debbie and a possible bullet track. They were finally able to control this clown and I realized how close the officer was to losing .
