We have graduates who know how power works and how to put together... 1. A solar panel 2. A rechargeable battery (power bank) 3. A bulb 4. A plastic casing to house the battery and the bulb We have battery companies that can manufacture solar power banks (rechargeable batteries)... We have fine marketers who can sell snow to eskimos and ice cream in Greenland... Why dont we have these components together to light up the millions of homes without electricity? Why are these components being assembled in China and other distant places for consumption in Africa while we have all the manpower and resources to assemble them? Isnt this the job creation everyone keeps talking about? With millions using mobiles phones everyday and with the limitations of electricity to reach these people, isnt this a worthwhile investment? Why are we letting ourselves to be mass consumers of products we can easily manufacture?
