We have had a change of plans. Fran has been referred to being - TopicsExpress

We have had a change of plans. Fran has been referred to being admitted to a cancer hospital near here in Hershey, PA (yes the chocolate place) for treatment so I will be flying back on my own. We saw the consultant yesterday and he was shocked at her terminal prognosis and how under treated she was in terms of her medication and her chemotherapy. He has advised her not to fly and is getting her on a bone marrow transplant list as soon as possible and starting chemotherapy intensively straight away. In terms of what I do I obliviously want to stay in America for the majority of the time while she is being treated. I should be able to visit her for 3 months at a time and come home for a few weeks in between visits. We are both taking a big leap of faith in this. Im asking my employer to let me telework while Im away and for my parents to look after the cats. Were trying to get medical insurance for her to cover all the medical bills. We had to pay for her prescriptions today and it came to $511 (£320) which we had to pay up front for. The other medical fees are bills that the insurance should cover if successful. When Fran was in the ER the other day the radiologist who usually only sees a patient once saw her twice and on the second visit he revealed that he was a Christian and that God had moved him to give her a message: to stay on high mountainous ground. To us this describes her parents house which is in the mountains. We feel that God wants us here for now. We dont understand why but we trust in Him and that He will work everything for His will. While we were with the consultant yesterday I thought to myself that this is a miracle that God has provided for us, because the only reason wed gotten to see the consultant was a mysterious mass on her shoulder that may be an other cancer. However the consultant immediately dismissed this as insignificant and not abnormal at all. We are currently seeking churches in the fellowship near where her parents live. There are two in Scranton, PA which is about 40 minutes away but it doesnt look like theres anything closer, so we would appreciate any missionaries that have known contacts of churches around here to let us know of any that share our beliefs. We really appreciate all the prayers, love and support that everyone is giving us with this. With all the commotion and all the complications I still find myself at peace through all this. Truly God works in our hearts as well as our lives and Ive often said in the past with sarcasm, but now I say with conviction: God bless America.
