We have had an eventful past couple of days. What was supposed to be a quick 3 day trip to Memphis for a chemo treatment has been extended. Yesterday the needle in Sydneys port infiltrated her chest and she swelled up. They did the spinal tap with the chemo injection into the spine, but held her 24 hour chemo until they could figure out what was wrong. They de-accessed her port to let the swelling go down over night. This morning she had some dye- contrast xrays which showed no internal problems. They re-accessed and so far no difficulty. We are being admitted to the hospital tonight and will hopefully start chemo tomorrow morning. They will just keep a close eye on her. She is doing great; no pain now. We hope to be discharged home Monday or Tuesday.
