We have had an exciting and busy weekend and today received word on the extension of stay here at Shepherds. We were given a discharge date of 5/2... I was asking for a change to 5/9. The answer was no.. :( Instead.... Seth Nicholsons new discharge is slated for 5/19!!!!! How awesome is that... I calculate that we have now gained at least 36 more hours of PT at Shepherd, about 10 more hours of OT AND an outdoor adventure weekend of rec therapy for Seth!!! Sometimes, when we ask God for something- his answer is NO. In the circumstance of NO answers, it is always accompanied by... I have something better than what you are asking. I am guilty of sometimes asking why not or what if or are you sure? Because I cannot see far enough ahead to understand the reasoning. In this case, Gods NO answer revealed my inability to trust and believe for bigger things. In His wisdom, he is showing me that right away this time. But that is not always the case. I want to wait on the Lord and accept the NO answers even when they are not accompanied so quickly with the understanding of the alternative. I want to accept the NO answer even when I will never see revelation of the better alternative. But today, I just wanna dance and sing for joy!
