We here at the Amara For Chicago team want to to thank all of those who were able to attend our first orientation this morning. For all those, who couldnt make it, no worries, there will be more opportunities.. Me and Amara (As we have in the past) spoke in length over the ideas we are beginning to build of getting youth engaged in the political process.. I have started by developing an outline that I plan to show her and the rest of the team at a later date. With guidance from Amara and the rest of the crew, I am excited to be implementing this in the many presentations and speeches I will give to our young people on her behalf as her schedule continues to get a bit more tighter. I can not stress to you enough how our babies are the catalysts for change. They always have been and always will be.. Facebook peeps, I noticed that many of you have grown tremendously upset with our current Mayor: Rahm Emanuel.. Fact is that many of us voted for him because hes friends with both the Clintons and the Obamas but here is another fact.,, We must now act on our disappointment, Fact is also that in my many meetings and conversations with the current mayor, I have observed him as caring very little about many of the portions of the city: A city which prides itself on diversity and so let us challenge our disappointment which we feel in a loud and thunderous way.. We can achieve such a feat by electing my friend: Dr. Amara Enyia, JD, Ph.D. as Chicagos next mayor, we can leave our gloomy past into a promising future.. The work starts now! Or as the Gospel song goes: Theres an army rising up, theres an army rising up, theres an army rising up to break every chain, break every chain, break every chain!!!
