We need to act now in huge numbers to show the Scottish Government that fracking and unconventional gas has no place in our future. Fracking for shale gas and other coal bed methane developments pose real risks to our health and local environment and any new sources of fossil fuels are incompatible with our commitments to avert catastrophic climate change. We should be focusing on harnessing our abundant clean renewable energy potential instead of going after more dirty dangerous energy. Before the end of October, fracking companies will have submitted their bids to the UK Government for rights to exploit shale gas and coal bed methane across vast swathes of central and southern Scotland. Please email your MSP now to call on the Government to stop the development of unconventional gas and fracking in Scotland whether or not Holyrood gets more powers.
