We never know when we’ll encounter someone in need, so we must be ready and prepared when such opportunities arise. While preparing your Thanksgiving dishes, double the recipes of those things that will freeze well and store them in the freezer until a time God presents a need. Maybe a busy, expectant mom will need an extra meal for her family when it’s her time to give birth to her new precious baby. Perhaps the local food pantry will need the extra jar of peanut butter you bought by accident. Or a family from your local church’s angel tree might benefit from that turkey dinner you had in the freezer, gifting them with a lovely holiday dinner when they might have gone hungry otherwise. All you have to do is buy or make a little extra. Rely on God to tell you what to do with it when the time is right.
