We prepared bios for Modern Musical for the program, but not everybody turned one in... so the bios wont be included. Heres mine: After a VERY long hiatus, Michael is thrilled to be back on stage in Modern Musical! He first got the “theatre bug” in high school when he was cast as the offstage voice of Annie Sullivan’s dead brother Jimmy in The Miracle Worker. Michael was last seen as Oliver Button in the San Francisco debut of Oliver Button is a STAR! with B.D. Wong and the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus. Between those gigs, he performed in The Music Man, Gypsy (Tulsa), Damn Yankees, Call Me Madam, Camelot, Carousel, The Boyfriend and a bunch of stuff you’ve never heard of. He was a featured soloist with SFGMC from 2001-2006 and performed in the small vocal ensembles Equal Voices and Vocal Minority. Thanks to Mom and Dad for taking me to see A Chorus Line before much of this cast was born, and to Lee for putting up and loving me. Pretty sad that the last thing I did was Oliver Button (that was 2003 or so!) and that I have to include Merced High School and Merced College productions to fill a 150-word bio! I wrote this before I lost my dad. He was really excited when I told him I was going to be in a show, but in true Papi style wanted to know how big my part was before committing to coming to see the show! I can still thank him, though, as I know hell be with me next Saturday night.
