We really need to stop sourcing people who are not experts in a field. Yasir Qadhi is not a historian and has expressed anti Shia sentiment and following the Salafi line of thinking (btw, what is Salafism? Isnt it bidaa? New sects in Islam??) - his thoughts have been refuted and debunked from a Sunni PhD candidate and it is clear that Qadhi really didnt understand Karbala at all.
