We received a delightful gift of the classic New York black and white cookies, what a surprise! I havent had one in years, they are a traditional treat in every New York bakery, and look like a piece of abstract art. Sculptural looking, with the rich vanilla and chocolate over a cakey lemon disc, I painted it with love- I hope you can tell. I set it nice, neat and clean on a piece of wax paper, ready to gobble up after painting. The cookies were from The Black and White Cookie Company in Brooklyn, NY- heaven!
