We received this email--Hi, My name is Erica, and I was hoping to get some information from you. My brother, Joe, just had his leg ampuated above the knee and is still currently in the hospital- open wound, to help the tissue drain. His doctors are giving him two options for surgery: the first is to cut off more bone to close the wound with the skin at the site of the amputation. The second option is to do skin grafts from another part of his body to keep the length of the bone as it is. As I understand, the bone is healthy. Any information you could give would be greatly appreciated. Much thanks in advance
