We received this message yesterday. Thanks to the sender. Hi I sent you a message about my 2 year ongoing complaint with npower a few weeks back and thought Id give you an update feel free to post if useful to others. I requested a letter of deadlock in October after the back billing team telling me twice I was not entitled to any compensation and I was going to get the ombudsman to investigate. Npower to this day never sent the deadlock letter. I called yesterday and was told that the back billing team had looked into my account and was taking £805 off my bill and that I was entitled to back billing along with another £150 off so I went from owing £2770 down to £1815. At last I can put this nightmare behind me I thought. I had one outstanding issue from my previous property to be resolved. A year and a half after I moved I received a formal demand from past due credit solutions appointed by Npower to collect £250.71. The letter was sent to my previous property although Npower had my new address as I stayed with them for gas and electricity in the new property. I immediately called and paid the bill now I am applying the back billing policy but unfortunately today when calling twice Im told I do not pass data protection questions correctly so they can no longer speak to me. Question do we supply gas and electricity answer yes for past 14 years and whats your date of birth you would think Id know that one! Wrong. No sorry you have not answered questions correctly so we cannot speak to you. Aarrggghhh Nothing changes this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Im leaving them now cant wait to get away from them. But moral of my story is when you think you have a legitimate case dont let them try and convince you that you are not entitled to anything persevere.
