We shared something in common with the 3,we attended the same SDA church in college and as its with SDA church, we all hailed from the same county and community. What fascinated about the 3, a lady and 2 gentlemen was that they were not only friend but were also involved in one of the most intricate love triangles, something more epic than the poorly written Mexican soap operas. The lady was head over heels in love to one of the more flamboyant of the 2 two friends, the gentleman openly abused her and said that he didnt feel her, his quiet friend openly worshipped the ground his this dudes girlfriend strode on.Eventually and still in college, the lady conceived and give birth to a baby to a man who didnt love her. They were a class ahead of me, such that by the time I met them in Kisii after a few years, so much sand had moved between the 3 friends. The boyfriend of the lady had found someone he finally loved and married, the lady had no other option other than to marry this chap who worshippedher. She quit teaching, joined the banking industry, had a meteorite rise through the ranks such that in 2008, she was head of this region in that bank owned by that Mwangi fellow. Meanwhile, she started mistreating the hubby (by this time she had 3 kids), coming home 3am in the morning, openly in relationships with some seedy characters and when the hubby asked, she told him, he embarrassed her by being a mere teacher. Since the man had a postgraduate degree, he quit his teaching job to confirm, this didnt stop his marriage from unravelling, as the lady moved in with another man. Then the bank sent her into a suicide mission, to resuscitate their business in Rift Valley after the PEV(by then you remember how that bank, being a bank owned by Pokomos was struggling in Nilotic land of Nyanza and RV). In 3 months, she was sacked - the narrative being that, she was destined to be cut loose by the Mwangi guy. Employees from other communities can only be elevated to bank manager, regional, hiyo wachia the Pokomos as he conducts meetings with his top management in mother tongue,I dont know whether thats true or not. Jobless once again, the second husband left her.. This love end just like the Cinderella one, in this case, the lady goes back to the man who really loved her and they lived happily together once more . I met the two in Eldoret recently, the lady hasnt found another job and so is a housewife, and the man looked very happy!.
