We should never become complacent to the harmful environment our children are exposed to in our public school system. There needs to be further in-depth sociological and psychological studies into the culture and climate of schools unwittingly allowing and fostering closed, prejudice, clicquish societies within schools. All age school children become categorized...into defined acceptable or unacceptable labeled groups...then victimize the defined no-name, unpopular, underdog group, harshly defining them as losers. Affects are clear...depression, low-self esteem, low self worth, bullying, and suicide.
