We should pray about our salvation! “For our salvation is by hope: but hope which is seen is not hope: for who is hoping for what he sees? But if we have hope for that which we see not, then we will be able to go on waiting for it.” (Romans 8:24-25 BBE) We must understand that our hope is IN our salvation. So we pray IN hope. The word translated hope literally means confident expectation and the word translated salvation comes from the Greek word sode-zo, which means - to save, that is, deliver or protect : heal, preserve, save, do well, be whole. (Strongs) That does not leave out any of our needs. So, when we have a confident expectation of good, we can pray in thanksgiving and rejoicing for our salvation. God already knows what we have and where we are so do not rehearse the negatives, concentrate on for what we hope. Seek first His wisdom, declare the result we want in the circumstances, proclaim the victory over the situation and rejoice! That is praying in the faith of the Son of God! (Gal.2:20) And in the same way the Spirit is a help to our feeble hearts: for we are not able to make prayer to God in the right way; but the Spirit puts our desires into words which are not in our power to say; Romans 8:26 BBE) Thank God for our hope, the confidence we have in God. Praise the LORD that we are able to overcome the world because of our hope. Give God all the glory for the Spirits words which are not in our power to say.
