We thank all of you that have been such great supporters of Oscar Mullens and I and Joey Cavazos through our healing. Following all the proceedings and local updates on the case, thank you for asking. Yes, today Hunter Queen appeared in court and had what they refer to as his preliminary hearing. The State of Tennessee was successful in presenting to a judge that a crime had been committed and yes, Hunter Queen is likely the one responsible. And so the State officially charged him. We did not attend, but heard through the District Attorney that it was an emotional morning as the two witnesses who physically saw my Jessika laying on the highway got on the stand and shared in detail what they saw. Part of me is angry that I did not try a little bit harder to attend, but I have to believe there was a reason. So now we wait for up to 4-6 months for the Grand Jury to hear the case and officially indict him with at least what is there ( 2 counts of Murder and 2 counts of wreckless homicide involving death) and possibly more. Then, Hunter chooses if he wants a jury trial or moves with a plea and sentencing. The worst part of hearing all this update today was this piece.....the DA tells me that she could not believe that Hunter and both of his parents had no show of remorse through all 12 of the witnesses who spoke today; her exact words were he was a stone in the courtroom.
