We understand that the Raines County, Texas deputy who shot the Blue Heeler has been dismissed. We are thankful that steps have been taken to address and correct the problem. We hope you all take comfort in seeing that the system ... while not infallible, is working. We have removed our post concerning this sad case because we do not want to foster anger toward law enforcement in general. Some of the posts have been overly aggressive and dont recognize the great majority of heroes who watch out for us every day. Its easy to get wrapped up in a rotten situation and lose sight of the safety and security we enjoy because so many men and women are out there facing truly scary situations for us. We dont want to be a part of diminishing trust in them. And we surely dont want them to feel unappreciated.
