We use Earth Balance soy-free buttery spread in a lot of our baking, and a flax-allergic customer alerted me to the fact that, in its retail size, it has been reformulated to include flax. I am happy to report that, although we use flax in many of our vegan recipes, the bulk size buttery spread that we use is, in itself, flax-free, and the company has assured me that they intend to keep it that way. We have sold a jar of it to a customer, so this is an option if you need it! Meanwhile, we will continue baking with it as before, to the enjoyment of our customers!
