We would like to take the time to talk about ducks for a moment. This duck here is a Pekin and they are a domestic and are not meant to live in the wild. Most of these ducks are bought at Easter time and then released at different ponds/lakes. Ducks are neat pets BUT they are MESSY! They are not house pets and need to be able to have a place where they can walk around and dunk their heads in water or swim around. This duck here was rescued from a local pond and has a injury to its bill. It seems to have had a fishing lure caught in it. if it hadnt been for the kindness of a local teenager who has a passion for animals this duck might not be here now. She has issues with food falling out of her mouth through the bill and needs to have someone watching her to insure she is still getting food and not suffering. Please if you see some dumping call the authorities.
