Wear a Helmet! It is a great decision to wear a helmet when cycling. Fitting it properly is the next step to really gain the intended safety attributes. Cycling helmets are designed to be light weight, aerodynamic, cooling and safe too. There are so many models out their and they all fit differently, each person’s head is shaped differently so it’s best to try on a helmet before purchasing. If the helmet feels uncomfortable when you first put it on you can bet it will be more distracting while you are cycling. An expensive helmet is not necessarily any safer than a cheaper one. All helmets on the market must pass required safety standards and be fitted with a sticker stating it’s certifications.
