Sliver , starring Sharon Stone,William Bald win and Tom Berenger,was the story of a technology-driven landlord who snooped on his tenants through a sophisticated network of spy cams and a control room. Kulkarnis modus operandi was to wire his cameras to a video-switcher and watch the images on his television set in his bedroom. The somewhat shady, rundown two-storey bungalow on Lal Bahadur Shastri Road has been under a cloud ever since Kulkarni started renting it out to girl students and working women two years ago. Groups of girls who moved in there would vacate within days because of alleged harassment. Neighbours and former tenants describe him as whimsical and very disagreeable.
