Wee-ee-ee-lll..... Arizona Central has a picture of me with the caption that James Jordan screams at the protesters.... Well, Ill admit I was...saddened...that these people were out there with their plans to stop and turn back a bus load of 40 refugee children from Central America. And it was an emotional, spontaneous moment for me, if a little silly...big lummox in a cowboy hat singing a Sunday School song. But, hey, it was from the heart is all I can say to defend myself. But lets be clear, I wasnt screaming at them. In fact, what I did was this: The anti-child refugee crowd had just stood silently and respectfully as they played the national anthem. I also stood silently and respectfully. Then I went to the center of where they were gathered, asked for their attention and said that I wanted to wish everyone a good morning and that I had to go, was about to leave, but that before I left, I wanted to sing everyone a song. And thats what I did. I sang, We all love the little children, all the children of the world. We are not consumed by hate. You are welcome in my state. We all love the little children of the world. I sang it a few times, and then quit. At the last moment someone came and raised a stick over his head and started saying something to me, but I just walked away. As I walked away, they were playing Amazing Grace. Through many dangers, toils and snares, I have already come.... Ay.... Anyway, heres a video that may well show me being a little silly, but--not screaming, Arizona Central...thats singing.
