Weekly round-up for 7/12/2014 Diabetic friendly events are marked (DF). Theyre either run by or attended by other people with diabetes. Josh Fabian Update Type 1 Joshua Fabian completed his epic 260-mile run from Austin, TX to Camp Sweeney near Gainesville, TX. To raise awareness of what folks with diabetes can do and dispel the myth that were somehow lazy and did it to ourselves, On October 17th, were fielding the first team of diabetic runners (both types!) in the longest in-state relay run in the US: 223 miles! Our team includes Team Novo elite athletes John Anderson and Dave Pratt (both type 2), plus Doug Masiuk (first type 1 to run solo across the US). Lets make history and bust a few myths! REGULAR GROUP TRAINING RIDES(DF) SUNDAY 7:30 am at Andy Brown Park, 260 Parkway Blvd, Coppell, TX (DF) Will ride an avg of 16 - 18 mph We will be riding a total of 50 miles, but you have an option to only ride the first 25 miles, or 50 mile route if you would like WEDNESDAY 9am - 11am at Trinity Park, 2401 University Dr, Ft.
