Welcome to New Zealands quirkiest, Kiwi-as Road Trip. An interactive, trans-media, part-drama, part-documentary series, Road Trip will tell the untold stories that make New Zealand great, with the help of two Emmy winners, a Canadian, a Tongan-Kiwi, and our stuff.co.nz audience. In our pilot, Sarah (played by Canadian Meghan Heffern) finds herself stranded in Invercargill. A journalist, Sarah is fresh out of university and wants to tell the extraordinary tales of ordinary Kiwis. Beni (played by Nua Finau) is a laid-back Tongan whose Mum (played by his real mum, Valeti Finau) decides he can give Sarah a lift to Auckland. The last thing Beni wants is a talkative Canadian in the car. The tale of this rocky relationship, which is full of humour, tension and awkward romance, is a fictional drama. But what will make this series special is the real-life stories our two heroes will tell along the way, crowdsourced here on stuff.co.nz. MUST Be Tongan
