Well - I am filling out my ballot for the Florida primaries (yes, I am registered as a Republican - mainly so I can vote in the primaries - especially the local ones - but I am not a party member in the traditional sense - I vote for the person - not the party - and do not actually consider myself a Republican - unless you put the term Jeffersonian in front of it.) That being said - a few things for the candidates... 1) If you are going to run for office - HAVE A WEBSITE - WITH YOUR PLATFORM CLEARLY MARKED! as much as I pay attention, I know that there are millions that barely do or have no patience for your glitzy site with little content. 2) If the local paper asks for an interview or a response to standardized questions that are sent to ALL candidates - RESPOND IN WRITING. It looks really bad in my eyes if you cant respond to straight forward questions from the local media. I understand that you are a busy, important person - but you want the vote, answer the questions. 3) Update your LinkedIn and FB profiles - dead profiles tell me that you are both behind the times and care little for the reality of modern politics. 4) If you are running as a Republican and not ONCE do you mention preserving or upholding the Constitution - you are off the short list. Jes sayin. 5) Remember that you can be voted out as an incumbent. Your ongoing antics will NOT be tolerated. ;)
