Well - it is about 4 1/2 months since Benjamin was diagnosed with third stage kidney disease. He is still hanging in there. Lost some weight and can see his ribs more now. He has declined n health of course - but is still doing very well I think. I have his favourite toy mouse at hand - always. so if I come home and see that the mouse has moved - that tells me that he is feeling better as it means he has played with it. The mouse has stayed in the same place for a week. Last night it was swatted. That makes me happy! He is still demanding, still the creator of sleepless nights, still pushes my buttons to the max - but I wouldnt have it any other way as it means he is still here with me in the physical. (well - maybe just a little easier on the sleep would be great ;-0 ) I do not know what the time frame is for this type of condition at his stage - I didnt ask the Vets at the time - and that is ok as I do not wish to live under a time restraint for life. So will just enjoy the special time that we do have. Enjoy the ones you love every day - spend time in their presence- one on one - they are precious each and every minute of the day!
