Well 32 years ago ...I walked into Oglethorpe County High School ...somewhere around 7:40 a.m.....normally our little crowd included Tony Compton...JonnyDay...Penni Paradise,Keith Sharp .Bobbi Kidd,Jack Findley .Leigh Stewart Bagwell..Ben Hansford...JohnMeyer ,and this Sandy Blonde haired ...quick witted ,..Brilliantly smart ...Strong as a bull Maxeys born bred and raised country boy!! I saw tears ....I heard cries ..I realized our beloved class clown with the intoxicating smile ...the effervescent bubbly personality..wasnt at the group of lockers we had marked as our pre-homeroom home !! Then the heartbraking news hit me ...Michael Todd Hester....my buddy. ..my friend ..and truly one of the kindest ,gentle giants ever had passed away the night before !!.I think quite often of Todd ...Greatness was just a stones throw away for him ....now 32 short years later ..my heart Is heavy ..my love for him and his family has never been stronger !! God bless you my Patriot. ...Big hugs and kisses ...to Mr.Harvey and Mrs Jo Hester,,David Hester,Gail Rowland Hester and his nephew and in my opinion his look alike Jacob Hester !! Todd I love you buddy !!
