Well.... I tell ya.... I was plum serious bout gettin some weight off as one of my New Years resolutions.... course pert near most everyone resolutes the same. I figure when I roll outta bed in the early morn... an bounce twice... its time. But I keep recallina time when I went to a flight surgeon to renew my pilots license. He was an ol southern doctor... his office looked like what one would see of this type in the movies.... papers an books scattered everywhere like a whirlwind had just gone thru. I was settin next to his desk with my shirt off, after havin gone thru the cold end of a stethoscope causing me to breath in more times than he ask me to. He was askin me questions an a checkin off boxes in the FFA Medical questionnaire an then ask, Any unusual lumps in yer breasts..... Huh?.... Nope..... Ya pregnant? Whoa.... wait a minute Doc... I think your on the female side of that questionnaire. Oh... so I am. He peered over the rim of his glasses a lookin at my stomach.... then reaches over an grabs a little roll of fat.... just a little one mind you.... above my belt. An with that roll tween his thumb an forefinger he says, Ya remind me of a prize bull at Fair. Never forgot that... specially around this time of year when resolutions are made and soon forgotten. w.cotts
