Ellen: As you maybe have seen, a great woman in my life, Charisma Huels-Roysdon has been borderline stalking your page, all to help me raise Lupus Awareness. I didnt want to post anything myself, because its not about me. Its about awareness. I thought I would try one more time though. Its #LupusAwarenessMonth and Im trying to raise as much awareness as possible. Not money. Not even recognition. Just hoping someone as amazing and influential as yourself could possibly even say the words Lupus Awareness on your show or social media site. I know now that there are MANY young girls being diagnosed with Lupus. Now there is also so much help. A foundation with every piece of information you can imagine is just as easy as dialing a phone number or typing in a web address. However, when I was 10. There was nothing. Nothing but depression, loneliness, intense pain, anger, isolation, bullying, me bullying people in return because you were so angry, and the worst.. asking God why, and asking him to take you. Take you to heaven, or anywhere, just so you didnt have to wake up in tears one more day. I had this disease with no understanding from my family(not their fault..there wasnt information), teachers, the church, and especially not my 10 year old friends. A lot has changed since January of 2000..Ive found myself, now 24 years old, in bed with a 105* fever begging God to let me live one more day. This is a terrible disease that destroys your body. I just want to give hope to the people who dont have information, who are scared, who need someone. I would post my phone number on here if people werent so crazy :P I just want any little girl or boy to know that there IS hope. You CAN live a good life. There ARE resources out there, and maybe one day, if we can raise enough awareness and funds, this message will be in a history book. You may never read this, Ellen, but I did try.
