Well, Ive got to take a minute and testify! Some of you may remember about 5 years ago, I had a suspicious area show up on a mammogram, had ultrasound and biopsy (negative), followed by frequent mammograms to monitor. I was finally cleared a couple years ago to return to yearly mammograms. Well, I had a mammogram about a week and a half ago and received a phone call a couple of days later that there were changes on the mammogram on that same side and I needed to come back for repeat mammogram, ultrasound and possible biopsy. I had that appointment today. The tech did the first mammogram, went to show the radiologist, came back and did another mammo view, went to show the radiologist and then yet another mammo view and to show radiologist. The tech came back and said she (radiologist) wants an ultrasound. The tech showed me the area that they were looking at on the mammogram and I nearly threw up. There were 2 small areas that werent there on last years mammogram I went to ultrasound room and she began the ultrasound. After several minutes I saw her shaking her head. I said, Is there a problem? She said, I cant find it. I said. what do you mean? She said, I cant find those places on here. I said, So what does that mean? She said, So either its something that doesnt show up with ultrasound or its gone. I said,so, if it was something bad, would it definitely show up? She said, oh, yes! After looking about 20 mins or so, she said,Im just gonna take some pictures for the radiologist and see if she wants to come and scan you herself. So she took some pics and went and talked to the radiologist again and came back and told me that the radiologist wanted me to come back in 6 months for a repeat mammo and possible ultrasound to see if any further changes. I know there were multiple people praying for me all this week and while I was there! Either way, whether its gone, or just something benign, Im giving God the praise for a good report!!
