Well, Russia has been screwing up on so many levels. Between the freedom of speech violations, the entire place apparently being crap despite the $50 billion budget (hint: corruption), and the way they evicted people from their homes with promise of return (hint: they knocked the houses down and dont have any future plans for them), I might just read the occasional sport summary. But yeah, Im ditching the Olympics this year. Russia has had one chance to redeem itself, and theyve been off the mark since the start, and the IOC should be ashamed for allowing Russia, a place now where the corruption and economic divide are far beyond what the US could ever dream of, to host the Games. It was just as bad when it won the bid as it is now, if not worse. Everyone knows Russia has been corrupt since forever, and this Olympic Games is proof, and we shouldnt have to support this.
